In a double screening, two reviewers screen each citation independently. When they disagree, the
citation is in conflict (status asic at the abstract stage, fsic at full text) and must be
reconciled before it can move on.
Who can do this: designated reviewers — typically Leaders and Consolidators.
From the screening, start the conflict resolution workflow. The screen switches to
resolution mode, recognizable by its purple banner. Instead of fresh citations you're served
only the citations that are in conflict, and a "Conflicts left: N" counter shows how many remain.
Click Conflicts (the history button, which is relabeled in resolution mode) and use the
All Labels toggle to see every reviewer's decision side by side:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| timestamp | when the decision was made |
| username | which reviewer |
| label | Accepted (green), Maybe (purple), Rejected (red), or Unlabeled |
| tags | tags they applied |
| reason(s) | exclusion reason(s) they gave |
| notes | their notes |
Review the disagreement, then click Accept / Maybe / Reject to set the final decision for the
citation. This privileged decision overrides the individual labels, the conflict is cleared, and the
counter ticks down to the next one.
If your project has "Exclude Personal Conflicts When Screening Conflict Resolutions" enabled (in
Project Info), you won't be asked to resolve conflicts that
involve your own original decision — keeping resolution impartial.
Once conflicts are clear, accepted citations are ready for the next stage. Track where everything
stands in Citation lifecycle & KPIs.
