If you're migrating a review out of DistillerSR, VADRR can seed a brand-new project from your
Distiller .csv exports — bringing in both the references and the extracted section data.
Who can do this: the person creating the project (they become its Leader). This is a
project-creation option, not a citation upload into an existing project.
When you create a project, choosing the Distiller create-type lets you attach two kinds of file:
- Distiller References File — your citations, as a
.csv or .ris file.
- Distiller Section File(s) — your extracted data, one
.csv per Distiller section, each mapped
to a VADRR Section and a Key Question.
- Go to New Project (
/projects/new).
- Enter a Name (and, optionally, a description).
- In the create-type dropdown, choose "Create project from a Distiller SR .csv export". VADRR
then shows one References File row and one Section File row automatically.
- References File: choose your file and set its type — .ris (the default) or .csv.
- Section File(s). For the first section file (and any you add with Add Distiller Section
File):
- Select the File (
.csv).
- Choose the Section it maps to — one of: Design Details, Arms, Arm Details, Sample
Characteristics, Outcomes, Outcome Details, Risk of Bias Assessment, Results.
- Choose the Key Question the section belongs to.
- Click Create Project to create the project and start the import.
VADRR builds the project, imports the references, and maps each Distiller section into the matching
part of the extraction structure.
- Export each Distiller section to its own CSV so you can map them individually.
- After import, review the citations and run deduplication if you
combined sources.
- You can refine the imported structure later in the extraction form builder.
