Reasons explain why a citation was excluded (or accepted); tags are free labels you can
attach for your own organization. You decide which decisions require them.
Who can do this: Leaders set up reasons/tags and the rules; reviewers apply them while screening.
On the Abstract Screenings (or Fulltext Screenings) page, click Configure Reasons and
Tags. The modal manages the lists for that screening stage.
Three toggles (top-left of the modal) control how reviewers interact with reasons/tags:
Whether a reason, tag, or note is required is set per screening (when you create it), and
independently for the Yes / Maybe / No decisions. During screening, the reasoning menu shows
"Required for labels: Yes / Maybe / No" and turns the relevant label red until you supply the
required information — VADRR won't let the decision be saved until you do.
Put them to use in abstract screening.
