The Screening Interface
The screening interface is designed for efficient citation-by-citation review. Open it by clicking Screen inside any screening session.
Layout
- Citation panel (main area): Shows the title, authors, journal, year, and abstract of the current citation.
- Decision buttons: Yes, Maybe, No — prominently displayed for quick action.
- Tags / Reasons / Notes: Appear below the decision buttons if required by the session configuration.
- Navigation: Previous and Next buttons (and keyboard shortcuts) to move between citations.
Keyboard Shortcuts
| Key | Action |

← or k | Previous citation |
Making a Decision
- Read the title and abstract.
- Click a label button (or use keyboard shortcut).
- If the session requires tags/reasons/notes, fill them in.
- The decision is saved immediately. VADRR automatically advances to the next citation.
Skipping a Citation
If you are unsure about a citation, you can skip it (leave it unlabelled) and return to it later. Use the navigation buttons to move on without submitting a label.
Reviewing Your Decisions
From the session overview, click My Decisions to see all citations you have labelled and change any decision that has not yet been consolidated.
