PRISMA Flow Diagrams
A PRISMA flow diagram (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) visually summarizes the study selection process — how many records were identified, screened, assessed for eligibility, and finally included in the review.
Auto-Generated Diagrams
VADRR automatically generates PRISMA diagrams from the data in your project:
- Total citations imported
- Citations screened at abstract phase (Yes / Maybe / No counts)
- Citations assessed at full-text phase
- Final included studies (those with approved extractions)
Viewing a PRISMA Diagram
- In the project sidebar, click PRISMA.
- VADRR displays the current PRISMA diagram based on live project data.
Regenerating the Diagram
If the diagram appears out of date (e.g., after screening more citations), click Regenerate. VADRR recalculates all counts and updates the diagram. Regeneration runs as a background job; refresh after a moment.
Exporting
The PRISMA diagram can be downloaded as an image for inclusion in publications. Use the Download button on the diagram page.
PRISMA diagrams reflect the state of the project at the time of generation. Regenerate after completing screening and extraction to get the final numbers for publication.
