Extraction Status Workflow

Each extraction moves through a series of statuses tracking its progress.

Statuses

Status	Meaning	Who sets it
Awaiting Work	Assigned but not yet started	System (on creation)
In Progress	The reviewer has begun filling in data	System (auto, when first saved)
Awaiting Review	The reviewer has marked it complete and ready for review	Reviewer (manually)
Approved	A Consolidator or Leader has approved the extraction	Consolidator or Leader

Marking an Extraction Complete

When you have finished entering data:

1. In the extraction work view, click Mark as Awaiting Review (or similar status button at the top of the page).
2. The extraction is flagged for review by a Consolidator or Leader.

Approving an Extraction

Leaders and Consolidators can approve extractions:

1. Go to the Extractions list.
2. Filter by Awaiting Review.
3. Open an extraction, review the data, and click Approve.

Approved extractions feed into the consolidation step, where answers from multiple reviewers are merged.
